Blueberry Goat Cheese Salad with Creamy Tarragon Dressing
Updated: 4 days ago
There’s something about fresh blueberries that makes me want to put them in just about everything—and this Blueberry Goat Cheese Salad with Creamy Tarragon Dressing is one of my favorite ways to enjoy them.
I love making this salad after picking local blueberries or bringing home a pint from the farmers market. Of course, you don't have to wait for blueberry season. This salad is delicious anytime of year, especially when you’re looking for something fresh, colorful, and a little different.
The combination of juicy blueberries, creamy goat cheese, crunchy sugar-free candied pecans, and fresh mixed greens is so good. Then everything gets tossed with a creamy kefir tarragon dressing that's lightly sweetened with monkfruit.
And honestly? Nobody will ever know this salad is good for you.

A Creamy Tarragon Dressing with a Fresh Twist
The dressing is what really brings this blueberry salad together.
Plain kefir gives the dressing a creamy, tangy base while adding live cultures and probiotics. Fresh tarragon brings a bright, slightly sweet herbal flavor that pairs beautifully with the blueberries and goat cheese. A little lemon juice, vinegar, Dijon, and monkfruit round everything out.
It's creamy without being heavy and sweet without being overly sweet.
I also love that the dressing can be made ahead, so when you're ready to serve the salad, all you have to do is assemble and toss.

Sweet, Tangy & Crunchy
One of my favorite things about this salad is the combination of textures.
The blueberries are juicy and sweet, the goat cheese is creamy and tangy, and the sugar-free candied pecans add just the right amount of buttery crunch. The mixed greens give everything a fresh, slightly peppery base.
It's one of those salads where every bite has a little bit of everything.
Make It a Meal
This blueberry goat cheese salad makes a beautiful side dish for dinner, brunch, or a summer gathering. It also makes a delicious light meal on its own.
For a heartier salad, add grilled chicken or salmon. The creamy tarragon dressing pairs especially well with both.

A Few Tips
Make the candied pecans ahead. They can be prepared in advance and stored in an airtight container.
Let the dressing sit for a few minutes. This gives the fresh tarragon time to infuse the dressing.
Dress just before serving. Start with a little dressing and add more as needed so the greens stay fresh and crisp.
Use the freshest blueberries you can find. Local blueberries from a farmers market are especially delicious when they're in season.
Whether you're coming home from the farmers market with a basket of blueberries or simply looking for a fresh salad to brighten up dinner, this one is worth making.
